Dirty laundry is going to be aired - and there is a lot of dirt in the White House!

The White House appears to be resigned now to the fact that Gonzales is on the outs. It sounds like he and his deputy AG will be resigning.

And that is probably a good idea, considering the sh*tstorm that is rolling their way!

First up, San Diego US Attorney Carol Lam, who exposed Duke Cunningham's corruption, saw her hard work repaid with a politically-motivated firing.

And there's likely to be more under that stone, as the DOJ is releasing documents relating to the firing of 8 US attorneys.

ON ANOTHER FRONT of the Republican's attack on democracy in the USA, we have the war on science. James Hansen, director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, excoriated the government's policy of introducing political appointees to cast doubt on climate change that was not there in the actual scientist's findings.

Philip Cooney, former chief of staff at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, meanwhile admitted to changing scientists' reports to jive with the White House's erroneous, backward and dangerous policy on climate change, which serves to help the oil industry to our ultimate peril.

Why is this coming out now? Because the American people voted for change and oversight. And that is what they are getting. The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is looking into this. The Republican Congress under GW Bush has been like the enabler to a dangerously out-of-control alcoholic. They helped cover up every lie. And now the truth must come out.

And it's going to hurt. Starting with Gonzales, and hopefully some of the goons Bush has stuffed into NASA and the EPA will be soon to follow!
