Some fun facts about Walmart:
Costco is better than Walmart - they pay their workers on average $15.97 per hour, 38% more than Sam's does, at $11.52. Walmart sales clerks made only $8.23 an hour, on average, and part-time workers are not eligible for family medical insurance coverage.

According to a federal judge, women are paid less than men at Walmart in every region.

A Walmart store in Canada just became the first in North America to unionize. Corporate headquarters immediately shut the whole place down. The government there had to warn the retail giant to quit harrassing employees.

And they are also in hot water over breaking child labor laws:
This February, Wal-Mart received a sweetheart deal from the Department of Labor in response to 24 alleged violations of child labor laws in Wal-Mart stores from 1998-2002. This deal ensures that Wal-Mart will receive 15 days notice before the Labor Department investigates other alleged violations.
